I opened my fortune. It read "your life is in danger. Say nothing to anyone. You must leave the city immediately and never return. Repeat: say nothing" This had to be a joke I thought as I paid the bill. How the hell could this get into my fortune cookie anyway? And why did I have to be craving Chinese food today? I thought about asking my waitress, but no, that seemed silly at the moment. As I drove off in my car I decided I was going to forget about it. I was going to just go to my apartment and everything was going to be normal again, well whatever normal was. But then it really hit me, how could someone possibly slip something inside of a fortune cookie? Whoever was behind this must know exactly what they're doing. But why me? I'm a good person, well at least I'd like to think so. This just didn't add up. I began to cry... what the hell? I was actually crying over this. I wiped my tears and continued to drive.
